Brebex solar power plant

The future of energy. Here and now!

Imagine a world where clean energy is the primary source of electricity for all our homes, industries, and cities. At Brebex, we don’t just imagine this world, we are creating it. We are proud to present our latest and greatest project to date: The Brebex Solar Power Plant.

WHY SOLAR ENERGY IS IMPORTANT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Our planet constantly receives an enormous amount of energy directly from the Sun. If we harness this energy effectively, we can dramatically reduce dependence on fossil fuels, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and leave a sustainable planet for future generations. Solar energy is clean, renewable, and inexhaustible. Opting for solar energy means choosing a future where the environment and humanity coexist in harmony.

OUR CAPACITIES: MAKING LARGE STRIDES TOWARDS A GREENER FUTURE

Located on 240 hectares of land in the municipality of Dimitrovgrad, the Brebex Solar Power Plant is set to be one of the largest of its kind in the region. Along with the installation of solar panels, there is also a plan to construct an electrical complex to transmit the generated electricity into Serbia’s power grid. With an estimated annual capacity of 475 GWh, this plant will supply electricity to over 70,000 households each year.

To put it into perspective, by utilizing solar energy at this capacity, we will reduce CO2 emissions by over 390,000 tons annually (compared to the production of electricity in conventional thermal power plants using lignite), equivalent to the emissions of about 83,000 cars per year.

The construction is expected to begin at the start of 2025, with operations commencing in the second half of 2026.
